5 Spectacular Ways to Celebrate Spring’s Arrival

March 20 marks the beginning of spring! Say goodbye to the cold, gray days and hello to a warmer season full of color, nature, butterflies, birds… and macarons. 😉 And because we believe that this beautiful season should always be celebrated, we’ve collected several ways in which you can make the most of it.

Read on, get extra creative with our ideas, and enjoy your warm days.

1. Spring has sprung

You can watch the magic of the spring season in your garden without complicating things that much, just plant a seed and watch it grow! This is the official “growing season” and it’s just perfect to add an extra beautiful touch of color to your garden.

Who doesn’t love flowers? We’re pretty sure everyone does. If you’re planning on growing gorgeous flowers, take a look at The Spruce’s 6 tips for a better spring flower garden.

If, on the other side, you’re planning on growing an orchard then get a hold of The Vegetable Gardener’s Bible book and make delicious recipes with food grown in your own garden! Sounds lovely, doesn’t it?

2. It’s picnic time!

Out with the snow and the cold, and in with the sun and picnic spreads at the park. Because we love, love, love to take everything to the next level and make it as fine and as premium as it can be, our main advice is for you to fill your baskets with nothing but the best: spectacularly flavorful & colorful French macarons!

Grab your favorite wine, a yummy charcuterie board, some of our lovely & colorful macaron boxes,  choose your favorite park, gather your favorite people, and get ready to have an amazing picnic that will mark the beginning of one of the year’s most lovely seasons.

A box of 18 French macarons with assorted flavors has another box with an Easter sleeve to its right. Surrounding both boxes are some French macarons, some yellow and pink eggs, and white hay.

Extra tip: To keep the colorful vibe on, we recommend you choose an Egg-cellent Macaron Tasting Box or a Hop In Joy Coloring Sleeve Box from our Easter Collection.

Want to make your macaron box your own? Our fave spring flavors are Honey Lavender, Milk Chocolate, Strawberry, Lemon Meringue, Birthday Cake, Rose, and Peanut Butter & Jelly. You can also take a look at our other options on our macaron flavor guide (but beware, you might end up wanting them all!).

3. Get excited about primavera recipes

We’re strong advocates of the saying “a full belly makes a happy heart”, and a happy heart sounds amazing at any time of the year.

And since spring is so full of beautiful & bright colors, why not include them in our plates? From colorful spring rolls to cheesecakes, salads, soups, and tarts, color up your kitchen with the most delicious and amazing recipes for this lovely season. Plus, colorful plates mean so many nutrients, vitamins, and all-the-good stuff for our bodies.

We went through BBC’s Good Food Spring Recipes blog and we simply fell in love with it… to make it all much more mouthwatering, add some extra colors with French macarons!

4. Go cherry blossom hunting

Spring is the time when all of the beautiful cherry blossoms bloom with captivating beauty! If you’ve never had the chance to see bloomed cherry blossoms, find out if there’s anywhere nearby where you can experience their magical display.

There are several places where you can hunt them down: parks, gardens, and even scenic drives. And you don’t have to go all the way to Japan to get delighted with their charm—check out this Japan Objects blog where they compiled all of the places where you can find these magnificent trees in the United States. But hurry! ‘Cause they don’t stick around for long.

5. Head to your nearest farmer’s market

There’s no better way to celebrate spring than by adding some extra vitamins and nutrient-dense foods to our diets. Head down to your local farmer’s market and check out what’s in season in your area—you can plan a nice dinner for your friends made with locally grown vegetables and fruits (who said Spring Meatless Monday? 😋).

Come and take a look here at where’s your nearest farmer’s market in the New York area.
